What we believe
God the Father
We believe that God made us, and has good plans for us. He longs for us to know Him as a gracious heavenly Father, bringing security, provision, discipline, and purpose into our lives.
God the Son
Jesus Christ is God's eternal Son, perfectly showing us God's nature and character. Jesus himself said, "Whoever has seen me has seen the Father" (John 14.9). It is only through the Lord Jesus Christ that we can know God personally. "I am the way, the truth, and the life", Jesus once said, "no one comes to the Father except by me" (John 14.6). The process of reconciliation with God has been made possible by the death and resurrection of the Lord Jesus, by providing for the forgiveness of every wrong and enabling us to be made into the children of God.
God the Holy Spirit
He is given to us by the Father and the Son to make God's truth live in our experience. Without the dynamic presence of God's Spirit, all religious exercises would be dry and empty dogma and ritual. He comes to us today, as he did the early church on the day of Pentecost, to teach, inspire, strengthen, and empower us.
The Bible
This is God's Word to our generation and the key to understanding God's will for our lives. "Your word is a lamp to guide me and light my path" (Psalm 119.105). We place a strong emphasis on teaching the practical relevance of the Word of God to all aspects of daily living.
The Church
The true church is made up of all people throughout the world whose lives have been changed since owning Jesus Christ as Saviour and Lord. This church is one local expression of that body. The procedure for becoming a committed member of this church can be explained to you by one of the leadership team.
Leadership
We believe God appoints the leaders of the church and we look to the Holy Spirit to raise up the right people at the right time. God's will is sought and nominations are confirmed by election at a church meeting.
The Leadership Team comprises of the minister or ministers and others appointed by the church.
Life group leaders are appointed by the Leadership Team.
Coordinators have responsibilities for specific areas of church life such as Prayer, Worship, Finance, Children and Youth and are appointed by the Leadership Team.
Money
We believe the Bible teaches that all believers should give generously from the resources God has given to them. We do not look to raise funds from outside the church but expect God will meet the needs of the church by prompting church members to give.
Money regularly given is used to support leaders who work full or part-time for God in the church. It is also used to finance use of buildings and the general ongoing work of the church. We also set aside a specific proportion of our income to support projects and people working overseas for God. In addition to church members giving regularly, there is an offering on Sunday mornings which is added to general funds.
Baptism
Jesus taught that all believers should be baptised. He commanded his disciples to 'go and make disciples of all nations baptising them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit...' Matt 28:19.
There were no unbaptised believers in the early church. They were baptised as soon as possible after their conversion to Christ in any water that was available and deep enough for them to be fully immersed as an outward sign of what had happened in their hearts.
A baptism is a special time of celebration in our church when each new believer is encouraged to share their new found life in Christ with the church and their family and friends.
Relationships with other churches
We are a partner church of Horsham Churches Together and a member of the Baptist Union of Great Britain. We also have good connections with other Baptist churches in Sussex and their ministers.
We also believe our church is a part of the whole church in Horsham and we have meaningful relationships with other churches in the town. Our leaders meet regularly with other leaders to pray for Horsham and to share news.
Our Policies
We have numerous policies regarding the way that we do things in the church. Click here to read the policies we have regarding Child Protection and Health & Safety. If you have any questions or would like further information on these or our other policies, please contact a member of the leadership team

Our History
"LIFE" began for us in April 1993, when our parent church (Brighton Road Baptist Church) set up a new congregation of 30 adults and their children in the Littlehaven area of Horsham.
Littlehaven Baptist Fellowship as we were then known, began with 3 house groups in Easter 1993, then met for Sunday worship in Littlehaven County Infants School in Hawkesbourne Road from Easter 1994.

Our church grew, and in January 1998 we moved to Forest Community School in Comptons Lane.
We became independent from BRBC and were established as Life Community Baptist Church.
In 2009 after an extended trial period, the church decided to move across the site to the newly built Business and Enterprise Centre.
Since 1993, the church has more than tripled in size and we have seen many people come to faith in Jesus Christ and be baptised. We are excited as we continue to see new people joining and worshipping the Lord.
