Christmas 2022
Advent is upon us, starting our countdown to Christmas. Throughout Advent, we have opportunities to meet together and meet with others as we share the Christmas message. And in our daily lives we’ll have opportunities to spend time with people on our frontlines, in our families and around our neighbourhoods – those ordinary places where God has sent us to live out a message of hope in the world, sharing the love of Jesus in the everyday.
Here are a some dates for your diaries over the Christmas and New Year period…
Sunday 4th Dec, 10am – 12noon
Christmas LIFE in the Community, meeting in either the Chococo Café in the Carfax for a Christmas Table Talk or gathering in Horsham Park, outside the entrance to the REC for a Walk, Talk and Pray.
Monday 5th Dec, 10:30am – 12noon
Carol singing with the Phoenix Stroke Club, followed by refreshments. Please contact Pete if you’re able to come as support this.
Sunday 11th December, 10:30 – 12noon
At our service in the Phoenix on this day, we’ll wrap up the Book of Colossians with the theme “You are not alone”, as we look at the people who Paul partnered with in sharing the gospel message. We will also be sharing Communion.
Saturday 17th Dec, 3:30pm – 4pm
Open air carol service at the bandstand in the Carfax, led by Horsham Churches Together. The Slinfold Concert Band will be playing the Christmas carols, and Rev Jon White from Trafalgar Road Baptist Church will be sharing a gospel message.
Sunday 18th Dec, 10:30am – 1pm
Join us at the Phoenix for a Christmas service with carols, drama and the Christmas story, as we think about the “gift that keeps on giving”. Then we’ll share lunch with a “Great Christmas Bake Off” theme, with members of our church family baking, making or creating festive delights.
Wednesday 21st Dec, 7:30pm – 9pm
Carol Service at Manton Court retirement home, followed by refreshments – please do join with us as we singing together with the residents at Manton Court.
Sunday 25th Dec, 10:30am – 11:30am
Join with friends and family at Brighton Road Baptist Church for a Christmas Day service, to celebrate the birth of our Lord and Saviour.
May the Lord be with you throughout this season of Advent and Christmas, and may He open up conversations and opportunities into which we can share a message of hope and the love of Jesus.
