Lent 2021
Throughout Mark’s gospel, we read about people who are experiencing a life changing encounter with Jesus, who then share their story with those around them. We all have stories to tell, not least stories of how we first met Jesus and of how we continue to walk with Jesus in our daily lives.
This year, lent begins on 17th February, and I invite you to join with me on a journey of exploration, discovering how we can effectively share our own stories with those who don’t yet know Jesus. On the journey, you can
- Receive a daily scripture based devotion by email, app or smart speaker, and get involved in the weekly challenge. (You can sign up for these here, hosted by our Anglican friends under the banner #LiveLent).
- Zoom with Pete at 8pm on Thursday evenings for an hour, exploring the theme of the week. (Starts 18th Feburary, – please connect with the usual meeting ID at life-baptist.org.uk/access, and have a sneak peak at discussion guide here.)
- If you want to get deeper into the themes, you can read a chapter a week of the book Living His Story: Revealing the extraordinary love of God in ordinary ways (available from Amazon, Eden and other online book sellers).
- Put your faith into practice, sharing your story with those who haven’t yet experienced a life transforming relationship with Jesus.
