CONFIDENCE through Community
Confidence
TEACHING SERIES: “CONFIDENCE”
In theory, we all know we can be confident in our faith, and when we’re gathered together with other Christians, we often feel full of confidence. But when daily life hits, it can all drain away! How can we change that, with God’s help?
THE KEYS TO FINDING FRONTLINE CONFIDENCE: In this series we’ll be looking how to grow deep faith-confidence that lasts from Sunday into the rest of our week, and boldly join in God’s work right where we are.
This week, on Pentecost Sunday, in the second in our series, we will be looking at ‘Confidence through Community’: We grow in frontline confidence when we are part of a supportive community that encourages us to live wholeheartedly for Christ, through the power of the Holy Spirit.
SCRIPTURE:
Acts 1:8 “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”
Proverbs 27:17 “As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another.”
1 Thessalonians 5:11 “Therefore encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing.”
