Water baptism is an important step of obedience

Baptism by immersion portrays a graphic picture of what it means to be united with Christ. The act of going down into the water represents dying with Christ. Being put under the water symbolizes being buried with Christ and emerging from the water depicts being risen with Christ. It publicly identifies us with the person of Jesus Christ. Water baptism is an important step of obedience for every follower of Jesus who is walking in accordance with God’s word.

We rejoice with Rachel Clarke who made the decision to be obedient to Jesus by being baptised on 28th June. We used a portable baptistery, set up outside the Business Enterprise Centre after the service. It is truly wonderful to see lives who have been transformed by Jesus.
