We are now at the midpoint of going through the Gospel of Mark, in Chapter 8. We will focus particular attention on Mark 8:27-9:1. Peter exclaims “You are the Messiah!”. Peter also gets told off going against God’s plans and then Jesus tells everyone to carry their cross and follow Him. A big chapter, but a big challenge to us today.

1. Who do you say Jesus is?
2. What would you do, if God comes to you tomorrow, and asked you to do something seemingly completely off the wall?
3. When you became a Christian, what did you understand it would involve?
4. When has the shadow of the cross fallen on your life? When has it cost you something to follow Jesus? Pray for grace to follow fully.
