Justice in the Shape of a Cross

Embracing Justice

Speaker: Andrew Farr
Date: 03/04/2022

It is only in Jesus that justice and mercy are perfectly united.  Jesus redefines our idea of justice through His life, His crucifixion, His death and His resurrection. Standing at the cross once more, we discover that mercy and grace are central to justice shaped in the character of God.

Questions for Reflection

  1. When have you experienced grace for yourself? How easy do you find it to accept grace – from God, from others, from yourself?
  2. How easy or hard do you find forgiveness, both to accept and to give?
  3. Compassion is a clear call of the gospel. Who do you have compassion for? Might God be calling you to extend that compassion further, perhaps in costly ways? Who might help you on that journey?
