Questions for Reflection

You might like to use these for personal reflection, or as a conversation starter with others.

Think about times when you’ve seen a seed grow and become fruitful – think metaphorically as well as botanically! How can this relate to planting seeds in the Kingdom God?

Reflect on your journey of the last week. Where did you see Jesus in your daily life?

In Luke 9:51 – 56, Jesus resolutely sets out for Jerusalem, a journey full of twists and turns, a journey ultimately destined for the cross. How can we trust that Jesus knows the destination when we only see the footsteps?

In Luke 9:57 – 62, three people say they will follow Jesus, but only on their own terms and in their own time. Has this been true of your own life? Are there areas of your commitment the follow Jesus that you are afraid to wholeheartedly trust to Jesus?

In Luke 10:1-24, Jesus sends out 72 disciples, to prepare the way of the Lord. When has Jesus sent you out as witnesses of the Lord, to bring the message that “The Kingdom of God has come near you”? What was your experience like, and did you have to trust in Jesus?

Pray for your journey ahead, trusting in the Lord with all of your heart.
