We continue our Teaching Series “Unsung Heroes of the Faith”. Standing firm and speaking God’s truth is the theme of this week’s ‘unsung hero’ Micaiah (1 Kings 22, 2 Chronicles 18 ). This is a man who risked the anger of two kings and 400 prophets to say the truth entrusted to him by God. What lessons can we learn from his life?

Questions for Reflection

Are all lies bad? If so, why is this so? If not, why are some lies not wrong?
Speaking the truth can be difficult especially if you’re being pressured to make others feel comfortable. Have we ever faced the same kind of peer pressure? – When the pressure is on, are we brave enough to tell the truth?
Have you ever stood up to doing the right thing by telling the truth and end up being hurt like Micaiah?
