God the Creator

Spend some time worshiping God the Creator by reading the Psalms. You might like to start with the ones mentioned in this weeks talk: Psalm 24, Psalm 104, Psalm 148. The song based on Psalm 95 is also in the worship section below. What other passages from Scripture can you find to lift your heart into worshipping our Creator God?

God the Sustainer

During the talk, Pete reminded us that Jesus holds all things together (Colossians 1:15-17), then explored ways in which Jesus invites us to join with his sustaining work.

Reflecting on the agricultural practice of gleaning (Leviticus 19:9-10):

Is our daily work ethic good for our neighbours and our planet, or just good for us?

Do we always hunt for the bargains when shopping, regardless of the cost to the earth and to our fellow human beings?

Reflecting on the practice of Sabbath (Deuteronomy 5:12-15):

Are you a workaholic, shopaholic, or smartphone-aholic?

Do we remember that is it God who sustains us, day by day and week by week, providing for us the essentials of life?

God the Restorer

Reflecting on Isaiah 40:28-31, pray that the Lord would give you strength in this life, that you may glorify God your Creator, your Sustainer and your Restorer.

Reflecting on Revelations 21:1-5, pray for those who are longing for God to wipe away every tear of suffering, of pain, and our mourning.
